Wrecks and Vets!

We have implemented a new mentorship program within our fencing program! The Vets and Wrecks system is similar to the Greek’s Bigs and Littles system or the band’s Rats and Vets system. The idea is that all of our new members, the Wrecks, adopt a Vet to become their buddy/mentor for the semester. Their Vets’ jobs are to make sure they are having fun at both practices and social events! So far, everyone seems to be enjoying it!

For more information check out our FAQ poster!

Fall 2012

The Yellow Jacket Fencing Club is off to a great start this year! We have over 70 dues paying members and many of them are new to the sport of fencing! We started off the year with two weeks of Wreck Camp (Wrecks = fencing newbies), then after we brought everybody back together and had a great reunion with all of our old members. After a few more weeks of practice we’ve now split everyone into weapons, so they can start getting ready for tournaments!

Here are some pictures from our first few practices!
